This Level of the ECDL Programme introduces the novice and the complete beginner user in the world of techology and computers. 

The use of computers in every aspect of modern life, not only at the professional level, but also in the process of education of children and in the everyday activities of the citizen at home and as part of its social life, led us to the provision of Introductory Level Products. 

So, now ECDL Cyprus offers three (3) products at the Introductory Level:

• Equalskills which is targeting the complete novice and beginner user
• e-Kids which introduces children into the world of computers and technology and
• e-Citizen which focuses on the needs of the grown-up citizens to use the computer effectively for communication purposes and taking advantages of the various services offered by private organizations and the government.

The ECDL Core is the main certification programme of the ECDL Foundation. It is a test of practical skills and competencies and consists of seven separate modules covering computer theory and practice. To achieve an ECDL Core certification, the Candidate must successfully pass a test in all seven modules.

The ECDL Start is a subset certificate of the ECDL Core certificate. It is awarded to the candidate when he/she successfully completes four (4) ECDL Core modules. Although there is no restriction or limitation as to the four (4) modules which will comprise the ECDL Start certificate it is recommended that ECDL Core Module 1 - Basic Concepts of IT (Information Technology) is one of the four modules.

The ECDL Expert is a higher-level programme designed for those who have successfully reached the ECDL Core skills levels and wish to further enhance their computer proficiency and expertise.

ECDL Expert gives Candidates the opportunity to become expert in the use of office applications, acquiring skills sets over and above the routine and commonly used features of the software.

The ECDL Expert Certificate is awarded when the Candidate succesfully passes all four (4) ECDL Advanced modules:

• Advanced Module Word Processing (AM3)
• Advanced Module Spreadsheets (AM4)
• Advanced Module Database (AM5)
• Advanced Module Presnentation (AM6)

Recognizing the need for certification of IT skills in specific and vertical markets, the ECDL Foundation has introduced the Specialized Certifications whcih currently cover three domains:

• Computer Aided Design ( ECDL CAD)
• Photo and picture editing (ECDL ImageMaker)
• Web Design (ECDL WebStarter)

ECDL Cyprus has grouped these three certifications under the "Design" category and interested candidates who complete all 3 modules will receive the ECDL Design Certificate which shows all 3 modules on it.

The Certified Training Professional (CTP) is an international qualification in IT training and certifies the abilities of IT Trainers to deliver high level quality training in computing.

ECDL Cyprus, the National Licensee of ECDL in Cyprus, has developed a number of new products to compliment the standard ECDL products offered by ECDL Test Centers. They cover local needs of the educational and job market

Το ECDL Kύπρου,  Εθνικός Φορέας ECDL στην Κύπρο, έχει αναπτύξει αριθμό νέων προϊόντων που συμπληρώνουν τα βασικά προϊόντα του Οργανισμού ECDL και προσφέρονται στα Εξεταστικά Κέντρα. Καλύπτουν τοπικές ανάγκες της εκπαίδευσης και της αγοράς εργασίας.

Ο Κυπριακός Σύνδεσμος Πληροφορικής και το ECDL Κύπρο συνεργάζονται με διεθνείς οργανισμούς για την προσφορά στην Κύπρο άλλων διεθνώς αναγνωρισμένων πιστοποιήσεων.

Τέτοιες συνεργασίες έχουν αναπτυχθεί με τον Βρεττανικό Σύνδεσμο Πληροφορικής (BCS - British Computer Society) για την προσφορά του προγράμματος πιστοποίησης  e-Type.
