This Level of the ECDL Programme introduces the novice and the complete beginner user in the world of techology and computers.
The use of computers in every aspect of modern life, not only at the professional level, but also in the process of education of children and in the everyday activities of the citizen at home and as part of its social life, led us to the provision of Introductory Level Products.
So, now ECDL Cyprus offers three (3) products at the Introductory Level:

Equalskills which is targeting the complete novice and beginner user
-
e-Kids which introduces children into the world of computers and technology and
-
e-Citizen which focuses on the needs of the grown-up citizens to use the computer effectively for communication purposes and taking advantages of the various services offered by private organizations and the government.

Although computers and the Internet are now a part of everyday life, there are still many people who have never switched on a computer and are only vaguely aware of the Internet and its uses. Many of these people would like to know more about computers and the Internet but may feel that it’s too late for them to learn. If that sounds like you or someone you know, EqualSkills could be the answer.

Με δεδομένη τη ραγδαία ανάπτυξη της πληροφορικής και την επέκταση της χρήσης Η/Υ σε σχεδόν κάθε πτυχή της καθημερινής μας ζωής, δημιουργήθηκε η ανάγκη για προγράμματα διδασκαλίας και αξιολόγησης / πιστοποίησης ακόμα και για τις μικρότερες ηλικίες, ώστε να εξασφαλιστεί η σταδιακή και ομαλή εισαγωγή των παιδιών στις νέες τεχνολογίες.
Η εξέταση απευθύνεται σε παιδιά που φοιτούν στο δημοτικό σχολείο, στις τάξεις 3η, 4η και 5η και αρχίζουν να αναπτύσσουν τις γνώσεις και ικανότητες τους σε θέματα ηλεκτρονικών υπολογιστών. Σε εξαιρετικές περιπτώσεις μπορούν να γίνονται αποδεκτά και παιδιά της 3ης τάξης δημοτικού, όπου κρίνεται από τον υπεύθυνο εκπαιδευτή ότι το παιδί είναι αρκετά ώριμο και μπορεί να ανταποκριθεί στις απαιτήσεις της εκπαίδευσης και της εξέτασης.
Η εξέταση e-KIDS θα αποτελεί ένα πρότυπο σύστημα αξιολόγησης δεξιοτήτων χρήσης Η/Υ για παιδιά της ηλικίας αυτής.
Το e-KIDS καλύπτει επτά (8) θεματικές ενότητες και θα βασίζεται σε Αναλυτικό Πρόγραμμα.
Παρακαλούντα τα εξεταστικά κέντρα όπως διαβάσουν προσεκτικά την πλήρη ανακοίνωση που αφορά στους όρους συμμετοχής στην εξέταση e-KIDS και τις διαδικασίες υλοποίησης της. |

Not only is the Internet a valuable tool for communicating and finding information, but more and more organisations and government departments are using the Internet to provide information and services. Those without Internet skills are in danger of losing out. While you may be familiar with the Internet, there are many people who are not.
